Trump pardons Arpaio!

All speculations whether or not President Donald Trump would eventually pardon former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio has been put to rest as the President finally pardoned the convicted forner sherrif.
Apaio had earlier been convicted for intentionally disobeying a judge’s order in an immigration case.

The White House announced the move Friday night, saying the 85-year-old ex-sheriff of Arizona’s Maricopa County was a “worthy candidate” for a presidential pardon.

Donald Trump had tweeted, ‘I am pleased to inform you that I have just granted a full Pardon to 85 year old American patriot Sheriff Joe Arpaio. He kept Arizona safe!’

Reactions have started trailing the recent development. Senator Bernie Sanders says, ‘By pardoning Sheriff Arpaio, Trump has again made clear he will use the powers of the presidency to defend racism and discrimination’.
Aggresively hunting down and detaining and undocumented immigrants made Joe Arpaio, a national symbol of the divisive politics of immigration and earned him a criminal contempt conviction.
